Privacy policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

The short version

We do not require an account, and we do not sell personal information. The only personal data we deliberately collect is an email address, and only if you choose to give us one. If you decline cookies, no advertising or analytics cookies are set.

What we collect

  • Email address — only if you subscribe to wage alerts. We store it alongside the employer or job title you were viewing, so the alert is relevant. It is used for that purpose and nothing else, and it is never sold or shared with advertisers.
  • Server logs — standard web request logs including IP address, user agent and requested URL, kept briefly for security and debugging.
  • Search queries — the terms typed into the search box are processed to return results. They are not linked to an identity and search result pages are not cached or shared.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people find useful. It is deliberately privacy-preserving: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint your browser, and cannot follow you to other websites. There is no profile of you to build, sell or hand over.

Because it collects nothing personal, it runs whether or not you accept the cookie banner. The banner governs advertising, which is a different thing entirely.

Cookies and advertising

This site is supported by advertising. Advertising partners may set cookies to measure performance and limit how often you see the same ad. Depending on the partner, this can include personalised advertising based on your browsing.

Advertising scripts do not load until you accept the cookie banner. If you decline, no advertising script is loaded and no advertising cookie is set. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage — clearing site data will make the banner appear again.

Third parties

Depending on configuration, this site may use an advertising network (such as Google AdSense, Ezoic, Mediavine or Raptive), a hosting and CDN provider (Cloudflare), a database host (Supabase), and an email provider (Resend) for alert delivery. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.

Some links on this site are affiliate links, marked as advertisements. If you follow one and take an action, we may receive a commission at no cost to you. This never changes what the wage data shows.

Your choices

  • Withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which resets the banner.
  • Unsubscribe by replying to any alert email. We delete the address rather than suppress it.
  • Request deletion of any data we hold about you by getting in touch. If you have never subscribed, we almost certainly hold nothing about you beyond transient server logs.

About the wage data itself

The salary information published here is US federal public disclosure data, released by the Department of Labor precisely so it can be inspected publicly. It describes employers and job positions, not named individuals — the source files contain no worker names, and we add none. See about the data.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
